Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account to use PrayingPeople?

Yes, a free account is required to post, pray, and interact with the community. You can sign up with Apple, Google, or any email address — no email verification needed.

How do groups work?

Groups are private spaces for your church, small group, family, or friends. You can create a group and invite others using a link, or join a group someone has already created. Your posts can be shared to one or more groups, to your city feed, or to everyone.

What does tapping the prayer button do?

Each tap records a prayer for that person and sends them a notification letting them know someone prayed for them. It is not a like button — every tap represents a real prayer lifted up. You can pray as many times as you like.

Can I post anonymously?

Yes. When composing a post, toggle the anonymous option. Your name and photo will not appear on the post — only the content you share.

Why does the app ask for my location?

Location is used only to power the city feed, which shows prayer requests from people near you. This permission is entirely optional — all other features work without it. Your precise location is never stored or shared; only your city name is used.

Why does the app ask for camera access?

Camera access is only requested if you choose to take a photo for your profile or for a group. You can use the app fully without ever granting camera permission.

How do I mark a prayer as answered?

On any post you own, tap the menu (⋯) and select "Mark as Answered." You'll be prompted to optionally share a testimony — a chance to tell others what God did.

How do I delete my account?

To request account deletion, email us at tejas+prayerappsupport@tejas.qa from the address associated with your account. We will process the request and delete all your data within 30 days.

I found a bug or something isn't working. What should I do?

We're sorry for the trouble. Please email us with a description of what happened, your device model, and your iOS or Android version. Screenshots are always helpful. We read every report and aim to respond within 2 business days.

Is PrayingPeople available on web?

Yes. A web version is available at prayingpeople.online. The native iOS and Android apps offer the best experience, but the web version has full functionality.
